Hauenstein Center Receives Green Award
(September 25, 2009) - West Michigan Business Review grants “Best New Green Building” for 2009 to the Hauenstein Center at Saint Mary’s.
During an awards ceremony on September 24 held at ActiveSite on the second night of ArtPrize, West Michigan Business Review gave Saint Mary’s a plaque and a trophy for leading the way with green building.
Some notable innovative features of the Hauenstein Center are its green rooftop garden, the natural light that reaches most of the interior and the more than 89 percent of construction waste that was recycled. |
